Snowrise
Waves of snow fields
Reflect the sunrise.
Fields of rose, sapphire, orange.
And then the shift of sun –
Higher –
Brings back the white.
All white.
Why, then, world still,
Do you alone, little snowflake,
Glimmer in a sea of white?
Crystalline –
Pure –
When others absorb the light?
Maybe you,
Uniquely,
Are designed,
Aligned,
To radiate,
Shine,
Glow,
Transfigure.
More than mere ice,
You become light-mirror.
And how, then, when Your face beamed–
Pure,
whole,
divine –
Did James hide his eyes?
More than mere man,
You are the light-giver.
I appreciate another human who sees Jesus in the natural world and delivers poetry like this
How precious! I love that you can see the world this way!❤️
